The beginning of the end.

Today is the first day of our last week of class. We have lift off! Things are finally on the wall and looking good. Only a few more steps and then we're ready for the reception Thursday evening from 5-7 in the UNT Art Building Lightwell Gallery. Come have some snacks and check out our awesomeness. What we're doing...

This course has been proposed, designed, and taught as a collaborative effort between Blayre Stiller and Giovanni Valderas. Beginning with a series of lectures, and visiting speakers this new course will introduce art students to the current practice of collaborative public art culminating in creation of site-specific artworks reflecting their interests and their workmanship. Following the classroom work, students will move to the studio where groups will develop design proposals for a public art project at a specific site in the Denton/UNT area. The completed designs will be shown at the end of the semester in an exhibition open to the public. A reception will be held Thursday, July 5th from 5:00pm-7:00pm in the Lightwell of the UNT Art Building on the first floor.
